BTM Engineering, Inc. teamed with Brown-Forman on the demolition of 34,000 – square foot of existing facility and new materials transfer facility located on the Brown-Forman (current name) campus. Demolition and new construction was scheduled and completed within a four week shutdown. The cooperage was established in 1946 and was called the Bluegrass Cooperage Company. Prior to the cooperage the facility built in 1922 was known for making high quality wood furniture. The furniture company also produced gun stocks for the British war effort in 1940. Brown-Forman purchased the site in 1946.
