CANstruction is a bi-annual event held at Malls St. Matthews in Louisville, KY. The organizer of the event, Canstruction®, is a national charity organization with a mission to feed the hungry and bring attention to the design industry. This year 8 teams from the design and construction industry are competing for the top spot in this event to create and construct amazing works of art.

Desolation of Hunger
As the Site/Civil Engineers, BTM Engineering, Inc. took the opportunity to get creative with their design. A fire-breathing dragon in the J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings series was the inspiration for the masterpiece. The BTM team used food items that would create a hearty Buffalo Chicken Dish to construct Smaug: Desolation of Hunger. The wings are packets of chili mix and saltine crackers were included to cool things off. The team brought home the award for Best Meal!
